Many of our readers know that I came to NorthForkWeddings/SouthForkWeddings and the East End Experience as a wedding photographer for the East End. I still do the occasional wedding celebration, and I had the pleasure of an elopement this week. I also suffered, along with the guests and the wedding couple, in stifling humidity and heat. So this week’s journal is a cautionary tale. July on the East End is beautiful. It is also the period that receives the most number of days with temps above 90 degrees, with crushing humidity to boot. If you MUST have your celebration in July, you would be wise to plan for an indoor location, or at least one with good climate control. Then you can party all day and still look and feel relative fresh for those ever so important photos.
