Happy Valentine’s Day, Lovers!
Valentine’s Day is here, and it has landed oh so inconveniently right in the middle of the week (but we do note that it is on hump day, lol). For most, that means a scramble home after work to get ready to be romantic in some fashion – dinner out? dinner in? – with a bit of togetherness mixed in before calling it a night early enough to be ready for work the next day.
It all seems a bit anti-climactic.
Have you considered stretching the romance into President’s weekend, or beyond, with a romantic getaway to the East End? In case you don’t already know, February is for lovers on the North Fork and in the Hamptons, as long as you know where to look, and lucky for you we do know – and we are happy to share.
Find your next favorite B&B, book a dinner reservation at one of the East End’s fabulous restaurants, and plan an afternoon of winery and brewery hopping mixed with visits to the boutiques and gift shops. Yes, they are open, and in February, you don’t have to wait for a table or stand in line to reach the winery bar.
If it is evening revelry you seek, consider taking in a show at one of the theaters. There are a variety of live performance options to be found at places like the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead, Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor, Guild Hall in East Hampton, and the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center in Westhampton Beach.
When you are ready for some downtime, consider pampering at a local day spa. Massages, mani/pedis and more are just a short drive, and the personal attention will make you feel like royalty.
And in case you are wondering where to find the best services available, let us make some recommendations. After all the East End Experience network of pre-screened and carefully curated services specializes in showing the undiscovered treasures that will offer a memorable experience that you will be raving about.
