Marguerite Schondebare - President
East End Experience is owned by Marguerite Schondebare, a resident of the East End of Long Island New York for her entire life. Marguerite resides in Southold with her husband, Jay, an attorney at law, who has also taken an active role in community affairs. They have been married for 39 years and have two grown daughters, one residing in Southern California and the other an MD/MBA candidate at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
In the course of operating her home as a Bed & Breakfast in 2002, she identified the need for a website providing information on weddings and events on the North Fork. Having been involved with all facets of community life, Marguerite realized that she had the sort of information only someone who has lived in the community for so long would possess and she wanted to share this "insider's perspective." Hence, she created North Fork Weddings, Ltd.
The company quickly became the most popular and comprehensive resource not only for brides, but also for corporations and individuals wanting to hold an event on the East End of Long Island New York. Since launching the initial North Fork Weddings site, she has added two additional sites: South Fork Weddings and this site, East End Experience. Fortunately, she had the advice of a major Manhattan consulting firm, the expertise of a corporate web designer, and the friendship and business involvement with many Hampton business owners as she expanded her company.

These sites are the only sites that treat the East End of Long Island as a total entity regardless of town, or civic organization so that they offer a wide spectrum of resources and reaching the sophisticated and educated traveler and consumer. Her pride in her community and in her corporation has guided her to present only those businesses meeting the highest standards of integrity and quality of service or products for her wedding and event sites. East End Experience is a social and business network performing as an on line directory for all businesses serving the East End of Long Island.
Marguerite’s belief that "The East End is not just a place; it is a state of mind" is a primary factor in the company's success and continued appropriate growth.
