About Us
East End Experience’s has only one “us” and it is we here on the East End. Indeed, the domain, www.eastendexperience.com is owned by me, Marguerite Schondebare of Southold, but that is only because there’s no way to register all five townships as owners!
I am the founder and former president of North and South Fork Weddings which are still the premiere sites for wedding and events for both the North Fork and the Hamptons. Those sites are now under the direction of Judy McCleery, another North Fork resident. At one point, I had another plan for this site, but it just didn’t work out. I almost shut it down despite its high ranking and usefulness to everyone. Something occurred that changed mind.
I learned about a group of doctors on the East End who each year go to third world and developing countries to provide surgical relief to those in need. Together with nurses and other medical personnel, they comprise International Surgical Mission Support, Inc, a volunteer organization that truly serves as the East End’s International Ambassador’s of Health.

I decided I wanted to help support them. Now it is possible for any East End business, professional, or service providers to advertise, i.e., get a listing on this site only by donating to ISMS. East End Experience accepts no fees. The only requirement is that a donation be made to ISMS. All donations go directly to that non profit group and 100$ of donations are used for medical missions.
If the businesses on the East End see the value of creating a strong internet identity for themselves and at the same time support their own doctors who are helping the suffering of the world, then this new plan will work. If not, then it is not meant to be.
For the time being, there is no mechanism in place to confirm donations. As is often the case out East, trust is important. I trust my neighbors and friends to do the right thing. I don’t think I will be disappointed. I don’t think the doctors will be either and that means a lot of suffering will end because of “us” the East End Experience.
