About Comtesse Thérèse
Description
Comtesse Thérèse of Aquebogue, New York is an artisanal wine producer, principally owned by native New Yorker and 4th generation Long Islander Theresa Dilworth. For its first four vintages (2001 - 2004), Comtesse Thérèse wines used merlot, cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay grapes from various North Fork of Long Island vineyards. Starting with 2004, a small quantity of cabernet sauvignon (30 cases) was harvested from the estate vineyard in Aquebogue. Annual case production started at 600 cases in 2001 and has grown to 1100 for the 2004 vintage. Wine tastings are at The Tasting Room, the multi-winery tasting room featuring artisanal, boutique wines located at 2885 Peconic Lane, Peconic, NY.
